Mini Windows Openining By Themselves

This morning I went out in the garage and found our Mini with both windows down.
We have a 2013 coupe and this happened once before a couple years back and I never figured out how it happened.
Anyone know how the widows could come down on their own?

Were the doors unlocked? If so, someone could have inadvertently held down the "unlock" button on the key fob, which will cause the windows to roll down. Or there might be some other problem which the MINI sees as someone holding down the unlock button.

MINI Windows

Definitely sounds key fob related. Please let us know if that is the issue.

I have been at work for hours, and come out to find my rear hatch open. I have installed the green springs on the lift supports in order to not only pop my hatch, but also to push the hatch open. I figure that my keyfob in my pocket is having buttons pushed as I work on other cars/trucks. Never thought that I was close enough to my car, but maybe? I now take my keyfob out of my pants pocket while at work. Seems to have "fixed" my issue. Just a thought....

Yep, that's what it was. Guess we need to keep those key fobs where nothing can press against them.
Kinda like butt dialing someone with your cell phone.
Doesn't bother me so much when in the garage but not a good thing when parked out in the open.

Same issues

I am having the same issue. But mine will do it while I'm driving down the street with the key fob in the ignition. My car was struck by lightning and melted my tire. The morning after it was struck I came out to my windows down and my hatch popped. I have seen this happen to my car more than a few times in the last year. At least 1 time a month it will pop my hatch riding down the road or interstate. I'm scared to put anything in the back of my car.

I wonder if you have something going on with your FRM (footwell module). Some of the better hand held code readers can clear FRM errors.
