[Solution] R56S cranks but won't start
[Solution] R56S cranks but won't start
My car was great for about last 15k miles since tensioner and injectors changed, but all of a sudden, after 10 hours of sleeping at my doorstep, yesterday night i pressed start stop but my 100k miles old skippy did't start, cranked forever, but that was it. Battery was ok, no cel, no code. So i tried looking for a fix online but couldn't find any.
So i towed him to my mech, he first thought it was coolant temp sensor but that was also ok. Hpfp, sparks and tensioner are also new. So he thought the problem is low pressure fuel pump (part no 2755082). We changed it -very quick and easy job btw- and he worked like charm.
So keep in mind guys, rear fuel pump has a life around 100-150k miles depending on your driving style and/or the quality of gas you're using.
I paid 350 bucks for the part and 50 for the job. I hope this helps someone.
