Fuel additives

On the fuel door of my r57 it says use fuel additives regularly ?? What do they mean?

I have only used Toptier fuel and once a year throw in a can of BG44K. Sofar so good.

Didn't use Top Tier a few years ago and was rewarded with a dead O sensor.

I swear by BG44K, I also use the BG EPR every sixth oil change.

Fuel door on my car says nothing but my indie mechanic recommends a bottle of fuel injector cleaner with every oil change.
