low horn not working

Hi All,

I only have my hi pitched horn working now. Both worked last time I used it, but now just the higher of the two. Not a very mean horn sound......

Are both horns on the same fuse/relay? If so, I read about putting a Mercedes horn in place to work instead, which I may try

Thanks

Disconnect the leads and put a volt meter on it. That will tell you rather quickly if the horn is bad (which probably is).

Water gets into them...they get destroyed pretty fast...HELLA makes horns that fit well...waymotorworks sells them I think.

They do get water and salt in them and corrode. Some options below.

set in right be hind the bumper in front of the wheel well.

61332753032 is the low tone horn.

61332753033 is the high tone horn.

Another option is to go with the Hellas: Which are very similar in design to OEM.

or Air trumpet kit if you really want to be loud.

Thanks[/QUOTE]

I replaced my horns with the hella super tones. I really like them.

But if you want the OEM, I would be happy to sell the one to you for a good price, say $25 including shipping as long as shipping across the border isn't terribly expensive. It came from my 2013 MCS at the time with only about 20k miles. Really good condition.

Really easy. Take off the passenger wheel and peel back the wheel well liner and the horns are right there.

You'll need to cut the wire and use push on spade type connectors from the hardware store.

Takes about 30 minutes or so.

I installed the round red Hella supertones. The other ones that ECS linked too might even be easier since they are more OEM like.
