Accessory Belt 2011 R57 advice needed!!!!

Hello all! I did some inspection of a recently purchased MCS R57. I got a good deal on it with the catch that it will need an accessory belt in the very near future. For right now...the car runs great!

I checked everything out did confrim that the belt needs to be replaced. I am figuring I will just leave the car apart and just wait for the belt to arrive along with the tool that supposedly will move the tension-er out of the way.

Does anyone have any advice for me before I actually take the belt off? I know that I have to move the tensioner out of the way 1st then place the friction wheel in service position by pulling the strap all the way out and holding. I guess I just don't understand what the friction wheel does but I am guessing that the strap I am pulling out with automatically want to go back in? OR if I will have to tug on it to release it back in, almost like a window shade.

This could be a stupid question but is there anything I will need to do after I install a new belt? Like get anything re-timed or programmed or adjusted?

Thanks a lot everyone. So far NAM has a been a great source for me.

I would suggest waiting to take it apart until you get the belt. I've got a special belt tool and never use it as it doesn't work. I just take it apart and do it.
If you need the belt we have them in stock.

Thanks for the advice! The car has been taken apart since the morning of that post, its not a daily driver so I'm in no rush. However, I think your right about the tool so I canceled the order for it. I found that a 30mm box wrench works just fine and has enough leverage to easily move the tensioner up and out of the way. Belt is already on its way or else I would have checked your site out for sure!

I will have to check out WMW next time around for a repair too!
