At indefinite moments, i get bad throttle response, or should i say that there is no response despite i step on the pedal. The error code given is the P2102 (before a few weeks the P2103 also had come up), any idea what that actually is? Torque says its "Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low" but i have no clue what that is!
It means the throttle isn't opening up when you step on the pedal, basically. Time to check the wiring, and look up if there are any diagnostics listed in the Bentley manual for the electronic throttle.
P2103 - Throttle Actuator 'A' Control Motor Circuit High and Throttle Valve Position Control stuck Temporarily are the two I found that are described for that code.
Not a whole lot of information out there in the forums about these 2 codes. Let us know what you find out if/when you do.
Auto parts store said I had the same code on my R53 a couple months ago and for some reason I decided to charge my battery. Once it was charged up the code went away. It could have been coincidence but it's worth a shot.
I don't think it is the battery because i do have issues while pressing the pedal! The engine will not respond when stepping on it! Of course, if i shut down the engine and wait for 1-2min and start it up again, it will run smoothly!
Finally i took it to a tech, he removed it and found out that the valve would not open/close when pressed manually with his bare hands! It was the mechanism that was faulty, that's why the valve would not turn when pressed. 2 out of10 times when pressed it would turn, the rest, it would stay stiff!
Replaced it and so far so good.
One question though, is your throttle body plastic or metal and does its say VDO on it?
