Parking brake cable to caliper

My caliper on the driver side seized the other day so I ordered a new one. I've gotten everything apart but can't figure out how this cable disconnects from the caliper. I've looked through my Bentley's manual and it doesn't really give a solid how to on it. Any input is greatly appreciated thanks!

Is the parking brake released? It just pulls out of the caliper. There is a little stopper on the end of the cable. It could be rusted in place.

The cable hooks into a lever which might be seized on your car. You might have to disconnect it from the other end to get it loose.

I thought that's what it looked like it did I didn't see any clips or anything. When I did try to pull it out of the caliper it won't budge that's why thought maybe I was missing something. I'll hit it with some penetrating oil see if that helps.

Here is a good DIY for those rear cables. Recommend to replace in pair.
