funny smell after getting on it!
one73ronin,
Have you found out where the smell is coming from?
My 05 MCSa had a fuel injector changed due to a leak and I would smell gas after the car shuts off, and from a distance at my underground parking garage.
My mechanic said the injector wasn't closing properly and caused leaking fuel/fume into the cylinder. Lucky I have discovered and brought it in soon enough, or else it could ignite it self.

well, its not a fuel smell, more of a sweet antfreeze smell. that's why ive ordered some oil cooler gaskets to change next week. ill post here if it clears up the smell. car runs great otherwise, and after replacing the power steering hose I have a dry floor underneath the car
Almost a year and a half after the last posting... another thought:
For the past couple of years I too have had "the smell" when I accelerate hard. The smell I get is a dry chalky smell, and whereas I don't see any dust it's as if there is dust in the cabin. Could it be I don't drive hard enough, often enough? In not doing so, is it blowing dust and dirt and whatever out of the supercharger?
