how do i tell which auto transmission is in my 05 cooper s? its got the paddle shifters and can be shifted almost like a stick. its acting funny but i don't know how to identify if its the cvt or if there was even another trans available as an auto for that year.

 

If it is an S, it is the ASIN auto....
CVT was NEVER used on the r53 supercharged s.
Common issue on the ASIN auto is valve body issues...
