The warning light that says my trunk or hood is open will not go off. I have double check but both are closed??

 

What year car? Looks like a gen1 from the speedo pic....so a r52... So a 2005-2008?
If you checked everything guess it means a bad switch...have you looked at them to ensure they are plugged in and did not get wacked out of place? Hood one is on the passenger side front latch area if I recall...not sure about the others on the cabrio...

 

Double-check if there is a solid connection to the locks of the boot and bonnet.

 

You have a Gen 1 MINI, most likely an R52 Convertible

Looks like hood switch most of the time they pop out and the snap in breaks. Check both hood and truck.

It goes in the bottom left hand corner of the rear trim part in this picture. When installed it points out and faces the trunk lid on the R52 Convertibles. Its the little rectangular cutout on the trim ( which also houses the convertible top rear parcel shelf detection sensor ).
