I have a 2003 R53 and my passenger door is stuck closed. I was having a problem with the interior door pull so I was in the process of replacing it with a new pull from rennline as seen in the most recent issue of MC2 magazine when this all started.
I made all the proper connections and tested the door about 20 times and it worked just fine. Just as I was about to button everything up the door would no longer open from the inside or out. It is currently closed with the interior panel off. Because the panel is off I can see and feel that both handles are working as they should but the door still wont open. I read that the actuator is likely faulty BUT how can it be removed if the door is closed?

Any advice on how to open the door or remove the actuator would be greatly appreciated - please help as I am planning on going on a run this weekend and I dont have much time to order parts and make repairs.

 

Make sure the bowden cable didn't come loose.

 

unfortunately its not that. Checked all cables and was even able to move one of the levers by hand.
