CEL/ABS/EML lights and limp mode

All four of those struck instantaneously last week. I'm posting this purely as FYI. You might want to copy this for a reminder if it happens to you. The following is directly off the service sheet from the independent shop.

Troubleshoot system found faults.
DME:
P2128 throttle/pedal sensor circuit high input
P2138 pedal position sensor 1 and 2 measuring range
DSC: 5E1A can data error from DME

Remove pedal assembly and check it. Found it OK.
Remove DME connectors and measure all wires from DME to pedal using oscilloscope. Found the ground signal wire pin 6 at DME connector X60004 and pin 2 at pedal connector pin2, X73 is open (broken). Trace wire found break close to DME control unit. Repair wire and retest signal found it OK.
Clear faults, test drove, OK

The sheet says 2.5 hours but I know he spent more time than that and on the drive home the car ran like a turpentined cat.
