Defroster

Hi Folks-stupid question. When I turn on my defroster, it is always on full fan speed. Is it possible to use the defroster with a lower fan speed? Thinking that there must be a way. If so, how do I adjust? Thanks!

Yes, just turn the speed down. It still works fine.

That's what I thought, but it changes back to non-defrost as soon as I adjust the speed. Not normal then??

Hmph, never played with it now that you mention it.

I know there are two sets of vents up top...

I always assume that was WAD and the defrost button was more of a "shortcut" to pressing fan to max and directing it to windscreen only.

In any case the behavior is the same on mine. If you want a lower speed, just turn the speed down and make sure the windscreen button is the only direction selected (not feet or face) - effect is the same :-)

To avoid having the defroster fan go to high initially, instead of just quickly pressing the defroster button, push it in and hold it for 2-3 seconds. The air flow will switch to the windscreen but the fan speed will remain where it was before.
