twice at a car wash at the end of the line I could not get car into drive.

Engine was left running and then tried to pull back and it was locked in N, this is second time. I had to restart car.

Is there a trick I'm missing or something wrong ?

Before moving the lever away from P or N
with the vehicle stationary, first depress the
brake; otherwise, the selector lever will
refuse to move: shiftlock.
