Brake sensors
Brake sensors
My wife's 06 S's brake pad sensor just lit up. I'm probably fling to change rotors, too, because of age, car has 44k. Do I need to replace the brake sensors, too? And, I know it may not be much, but any aftermarket part work just as well?
Thanks all in advance.

I disconnected my wear sensors at the first pad replacement. I'm curious why you're considering replacing the rotors. Are they warped? My 2002 MCS had 125k on the rotors with several brutal track days to add to their resume. They were still true and had no issues. I replaced them because I was installing my 3rd or 4th set of pads.
I recommend that you measure the rotor thickness before you replace. That is if they're not warped.
Good luck
