1 Qt. Oil/1000 Miles: PCV System?

Hi. My 2008 Mini Cooper (non turbo) with 116,000 miles on it is using 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles. It's running fine and there are no leaks. Could it be the PCV system? Any hints? Thanks.

+1 for normal...seems excessive..yes. normal according to MINI...yes. Basic rule of thumb applies, check oil at every re-fuel

Does seem a bit excessive, but adding 12 qts of new oil in between 12K oil changes helps the oil quality during the long oil change intervals.
