A/C not cold on passenger side

I have a 2007 MCS and recently my wife was in the car with me and she said that the A/C on her side was not that cold. I never really noticed this since about 90% of the time I'm driving by myself. It does feel a bit warmer on the passenger side. What would be causing just half the A/C to blow not cold air.

Also, even when I put on LOW for my temp, the A/C is not "ice" cold....not sure if that is normal or not.

Anyone? Just wondering if it maybe needs a recharge or time to take it to Detroit Tuned.

its probably a little low on charge. The systems have a very small capacity so any lose effects it.

my A/C does not blow quite as cold as other cars I've had. Also, I haven't tinted windows yet, so that might play a part.
I tend to run it on Low most of the time here in San Antonio this time of year.

Auto a/c or regular?

if one side is colder then the other I'd suspect a stuck flapper in the duct work but I'd do a simple temp test to verify. Get a quick read meat thermometer (a few dollars) and get the a/c running then stick the term' in a driver side vent, then pass' side same vent. How much temp difference do you see?

Also, any place that services a/c can check your charge and top off the gas on MINI a/c ... nothing special in these units. I'm not confident on the DIY cans tho - my local shops only charge $20 to do this check and that's less than half of what "a/c pro with hose" costs ....

But for argument and FYI DIY ... http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7...-conditioners/

When that black dash top gets HOT from the sun it can take a while for the a/c to cool the innerds enuf to overcome .. I find a sun shade to be very effective in the summer here on the Space Coast. AND when I get in a really hot car, I pop the sunroof for a few minutes and allow that hot air an easy escape ....

It is AUTO A/C in my 2007 MCS. I'll do the meat thermo test also. The one guy I asked at DT said that the way the A/C is routed it hits the driver side first then to the passenger.

Anyone know how much a recharge is?

How can I check for a stuck flapper?

EDIT:
Just did the test. Had the A/C set at 60 degrees in my car with the fan at one notch below full blast. The meat thermo said it was 50 degrees on the driver side and 60 on the passenger side. This was in a stationary position in my garage. Is that normal? Should they be the same?
