Anyone have it yet? Bently is supposed to be a really good manual but $99 seems like a lot.

I plan to buy both. The CD would be great as it is from BMW, but there's still something to be said about holding a book and lying in bed reading about the procedure for the next morning. I bought the Bentley Manual for my wife's 01 Jetta, which kept braking down. It was the best $99 I spent on the car. The only thing better was the $23 to trade it in for something reliable.

My understanding is that the Bentley manual doesn't come out until September of this year. When you order, you're put on a mailing list. I used to have an '83 Porsche 944, and shop manuals for it (including 924 manuals, which it referenced) was around $500 USD, and they weren't very good - more like the TIS software, assuming that you know a fair amount about what you're doing already. $99 is cheap if the manual is worth it; I'm gambling that it is, and if I have to learn about my Mini to use it, well... I've endured worse!

I agree. THe Bentley Manual is supposed to be here in September. I think it will be good.

I'm working on a "How-to" manual of my own with a video. I don't know how much it will run, but it could prove useful as well.

I always like to get as much info as possible. If you need torque specs or any other tidbits, give me a call. I can always look it up for you.

Hope that helps!

Randy

I buy quite a few paleontology books, and let me tell you, those books are EXPENSIVE! I have found, however, a very low priced source that has just about everthing in stock. Walmart.com. $61.68 for this title. Here's a link (not sure if it'll work, sometimes these sessions expire...) walmart
Books usually arrive in less than a week, in perfect condition always. I have found no other outlet that can match their price on books. And let me tell you, I have looked.

Sweet: Pre-order me up, Scotty!

I loved the Bentley manual I had for my 3-series, it helped out TONS. The $68 at Amazon is worth it all the way!

I too just pre-ordered.

The $68 is a cheap price to limit my stupid questions and replies. Notice I said limit and not eliminate.

The very first time you use this book's info instead of going to the dealer, you're MADE money!
