Braminator,

Great news that Mini is going to honor the warranty for you. Now if only I could get the regional rep in central Ohio to talk with your's in Florida. Of course rust through in Florida is probably less common than it is here in Ohio which is probably why my rep is saying only six years instead of twelve.

I may try to push the issue again and see if I get a different answer.

LOL. But mine is from PA which is just as bad as you in OH. I just moved to Florida 5 weeks ago.

All I can say is WTF would make someone buy an automatic Justa. I have a loaner 2012 Justa with an automatic. Man is this thing horrible. It jerks and hesitates even with the sport button on. No real power at all. I will say it still handles like a MINI should though.
I mean no disrespect to any who have them. I am just voicing my opinion and would never own an automatic Justa. I truly hope the S automatic is better then this thing.

Last time I had a loaner , was the same thing... A 2012Justa-auto. Worst car... The transmisson is very slow to respond, downshifts hard while braking... And the seats aren't comfortable in the fabric. Not as Much leg room in the front either... And I have an 04 MCS.

Does the warranty cover the frame and steering arms up front? cause I'm about to drop 3K to get it all replaced. They rusted through, I don't live up north so its never seen road salt. I only have 33K miles on it. Its a 2004 so it within the 12 years but all the talk about is paint and body I need to know if I'm covered?

Here is the link from MINI http://www.miniusa.com/faq.jsp?categ...q/warranties-m

I would contact MINI or your dealer and see if they will at least look at it before you spend the money.
They replaced my hatch with 0 issues.

Rust warranty

Thanks for the info but its at the Mini dealer now and they haven't said anything about it being under warranty. I just happened to see some post talking about a 12 year rust warranty and was trying to see if it applies to something other than the body and paint? Thanks Sbeck

You need to bring it up. I was the one that had to point it out to the dealers about the warranty and one dealer would do nothing and another handled it without blinking an eye.

My dealer here in Chicagoland gave me a Justa manual last time I needed a loaner. Was actually quite fun.... and good training vehicle for my wife
