03 S stalls while driving
03 MCS has about 125k just the other day driving along it just shut down while cruising 6th, pulled over I cycled the key and it started like nothing happens but it throws the dcs light, no check engine..been 2 days sense and everyday on my 10 min. Drive to work it does it at least once, always when cruising a steady speed in 5th or 6th, and sometimes ill press gas a few times and it will magically re fire. But always throws the traction control light. Any suggestions my fellow NAM-ers??

These "English" cars can have all sorts of odd behavior with respect to electrical issues. I had a "tri-fecta" of lights on my dash for just a defective ABS sensor....
When the battery gets below operating Amp, the gremlins come out for that too.
Could be a code in there not specifically related to the dash lights.
I had something similar cruising at 65, but was never able to restart it until a new DME was installed.

Wonder if the coil is going bad...
Had a civic that did similar things...was the coil getting hot..car would just coast to a stop...sometimes recatch and keep going. If you know a person who went to an aftermarket one, you might be able to borrow their old one and see if it goes away before spending any $$.

Pulled the codes this morning (P2300 Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit Low/ P2303 Ignition Coil "B" Control Circuit Low). Researched it and quite a bit came up but any advice? Recap- car runs perfect all the sudden it will just shut down and either restart like nothing happend or have to wait a few min. And it will start back up caught and fart a sec then is fine, new coil, new wires. pulled pluggs and #2 is a whitish color. "pic flipped". Help me!

Damn, that one looks like it's been burning way too hot or something....is the electrode on that plug gone or shorter ( burned off ) than the others ?
Those are random misfire codes I think and the last number indicates actual cylinder where they are ocurring...So it's cylinder #3 you are idicating as number 2.
I would change the plug wires if one is bad the rest are not far behind. Take a look down into the rubber boot of #3 wire where it attaches to the coil...check the connector, it's probably corroded in there.
Dont use stock wires with non stock coil pack and visa versa. Been there done that. Unless you are willing to pull the #3 off and put dialectrice grease onto the connectors every 5K miles.....

Looking at the picture the 3rd plug from the left (white one) is cyl. #2... It's not melted or burnt any but I'm gonna order plugs tonight. It has KARLYN-STI high performance wires (pretty cracked and shot) and NGK iridium plugs, had an msd coil but that pooped a month ago so I just put a stock one back on her. So your saying stock coil I should run stock wires?

Cylinders in our MINI's are numbered as follows, while stading infront of the bonnet from L-R #1 on far left pass side.
Firing order is 1 3 4 2.
If the plug came from the second spot in from drivers side then that would be cylinder #3.
When I ran stock wires and CP, I only had dark petina on #3 CP post. When I added aftermarket wires I had a code and god aweful corrosion. Remedy for me was going with MSD CP and MSD Wires.
I will post back up after 1 yr with check of #3 CP Post.

Side) is white plug sorry for confusion and as of 2 weeks the car has not throw the code I found the 3 wire plug into coil has the clip broke and was not on all the was it seems but I will still change wires!

Misfire codes are usually P0300(random), P0301 (1st cyl).....p0304(cyl4). OEM MINI Coil, leads & NGK plugs are recommended. Check fuel pressure at injector rail Schrader valve. Low fuel pressure would point to filter, regulator, lines & pump. Faulty Sensors like MAP, TMAP could also give you trouble. Do elimination from simplest/cheapest up.
