A dreaded squeak!!!

I have posted a few times on this forum before, and every time you all have given me outstanding advice! So I figured I'd run this one by you all....

So there is an amazingly annoying squeak coming from (what sounds like) the rear left hand side of the car (right behind the drivers head). Its loud enough that it sounds as if it is coming from inside the car, although I cannot confirm this.

I have had the seats down, up, and greased the brackets with proper automotive grease.... all with no effect on the noise what so ever.

I know you guys can't tell me exactly what it is from my description, but maybe some ideas on what I can do to work it out? It literally sounds like a chirping bird chirping every time I go over any sort of bump.

I am begging you all for help!

Mine does this sometimes if the doors are unlocked. The little lock indicator on the door squeaks if it's unlocked. So, I just locked it.. I'm sure you could fix it with some felt or lube.

My seatbelt mechanism squeaks if I move at all while driving. And its right by my ear. Maybe thats what youre hearing. I just turn the music up when it decides its time to squeak.

Just get used to it. Your MINI is going to rattle and squeak more with every additional mile you put on it

I use a can of dry Teflon spray. Have some one drive while you spray it in the offending area.

Well, as usual you guys got it in one! The seatbelt was squeaky. Literally 1 second of WD40 cured the problem.... I was almost disappointed.... hahaha. Thanks as always!
