My coupe has started rough since I bought her in may. Dealer says its the new style oil pump that's pulsing the oil up. Does anyone else have a justa that the rpms jumps up and down for the first 30 seconds after starting?

 

How "wide" is the jump?
With cold starts, the ECU is in 'open loop' fuel control and may hunt for a holding idle...
But after the ECU goes into 'closed loop' and checking critical sensors, the idle is normal.

It just races up and down quickly for a bit but runs fine after. Just seems strange that a car built in 2012 would need to run like that at startup.

 

Mine does not seem to do that, but I avoid letting it idle as much as I can. I hit start and immediately drive off.
