Is this correct

I was detailing Nimbley this morning and I opened
the bonnet and happened to see this screw with a
spring around it. It's located just beneath the dip
stick end (yellow).
It's somewhat loose, is it suppose to be loose or is
it suppose to be screwed all the way in???? What
does this screw do?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure what that screw does, but my 2009 has it as well.

I can actually shake it back and forth and get play in it. Does yours
do that also?
Thanks for replying.

Is it part of the headlight leveling adjustment system?

That is the locking pin for the belt tensioner. It holds the tensioner arm in the "tension free" position allowing for the belt to be removed.

Yes, it's just a pin with a spring around it, so when the tensioner arm is pulled up can be pushed through the hole in the arm and lock it in place. Once the arm is moved up slightly from the locked positon the spring pushes the pin out of the hole and releases the arm.

Thank you very much. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't
one of those things that might pop out on its own and !@#%
Appreciate your time.
