R56 Headlight Problem, check engine light

My 2007 R56 Mini Cooper check engine light comes on when I start the car. I am unable to make the Xenon high beam headlights work when I push the stalk forward. However, the high beam flash to pass works just fine when I pull the stalk back toward me. Do I have a bad headlight relay? How can I fix this?

Thanks.

Can you get the code pulled and start there? Dumb question but are the xenon headlights OEM and original to the car?

1.) buy a Scangauge2 and see what te MIL (ce light) is about.

2.) Probably need a new trun signal stalk. (if the lights are stock Bixenon, and they work when you flash to pass)
