2011 non-s cooper cold start engine rattle

Anyone have this issue on a non-s cooper. It has happened every morning for the last couple weeks. So i take it to the dealer and guess what, they can't duplicate it. So i have to go tomorrow morning to start up the car with them. Luckily i recorded it with my phone before i took it in. Anyone have any advice for me before i go in? my mini has 15,000 miles.

I'd be interested to hear what they say because I took my 2010 Justa cooper into the dealer a few weeks ago - it rattles bad for about 10 mins of driving - the colder the weather the louder the rattling.

They say it is normal mini noises !

Please report back here when you've been to dealers.

For reference here is my post about the rattle https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ter-noise.html

So after a week of my mini sitting at the dealer i went in yesterday and had to verify the noise i was hearing. Sure enough we verified the noise. They ended and fixed my car within a few hours. They changed out the friction wheel which took care of the cold start noise. The dealer pissed me off because at first they were saying it was normal.

Interesting they found something to change

Any ideas what the friction wheel is?

What exactly did the noise sound like?

I reckon I am going to try another dealer and take mine back in
