Just had my water pump changed and a new thermostat put in and now my heat is balzing hot. Just make sure that you dont have a leak in your coolant.

I dont have much knowledge with this, so i'm not sure what else can be wrong.

Hopefully some one can give you a little more insight.

Sounds like a stuck-open thermostat. It will never reach full operating temp with that happening, and you get a luke-warm heater experience.

Where does your thermostat needle get to? That sensor is right at the thermostat housing. Even better you can put your car into diagnostic mode and get a numerical display:
See "How to show RPM, Fuel Level, Speed and more on your Odometer Digital Display"

An R50 in good order will be quite toasty. Mine has the best heat of any car I've owned, and I love it. I'd suspect thermostat, but don't overlook a clogged heater core, if the car wasn't serviced well. I just went through that with my '01 Ram. Flushed everything out, and now has heat.
