Help! Clutch click/knock! Not the usual!

So i had a clutch done in the car and got it back last night everything seemed fine, but now when i dis-engage the clutch (let it out) theres a knock/click coming from the engine bay. Prior to having the clutch replaced the only noise i had was the chatter! Thats gone, but now this WTF! Another thing is it only makes the noise when the car is running. "push in fine, let out click/knock even when its not in gear"

If anyone can give me some incite on what this could be! I will add that the clutch slave was replaced too!

Take it back to whomever did the work and demonstrate the sound for them. That is the safest way to insure your investment.

Getting my clutch, flywheel, and bearing replaced at the dealer as we speak.
My MINI is an 02 MCS. I didn't know I was having any trouble, till I couldn't shift on I-70 at the Colorado-Kansa border. Thank god for State Farm! (They towed it back to Ralph Schomp MINI in Denver for Free!!!) By the time I get back to Colorado, she'll be in tip top shape! (I Hope!)
Definitely take it back to where you got the work done. Everybody makes mistakes, even mechanics. Better to take it back for a small knock, than have it towed later for a big problem!!
Good Luck!!

My 08 MCS did the exact thing about a month ago (46k miles). .

If you don't mind me asking how much your dealer is charging you for the replacement. My Dealership first quoted me $4,000.

I was very happy when the dealership picked up the cost of the labor and clutch kit. I had to purchase a new Flywheel ($1,143.00). I thought I was screwed.

I think i should mention that I converted to a single mass flywheel. The car drives fine and shifts perfect. From what ive read online they can make some noise.
