Leaking Oil/Coolant Again!

About 9K miles ago we had a coolant leak. Turned out to be a failed aux water pump. They put in a remanufactured under warranty. Now the car is out of warranty at 56K miles and I saw some coolant on the garage floor. Jacked up the car and there's residue between the motor and transmission bell housing. I added about a cup of coolant to get it from MIN to MAX.

Does this look like a water pump failure based on the location?

Also while under the car I found some oil leaking at what looks to be a plastic L elbow (attached pic). Is this the oil feed line to the turbo? This was replaced last time as well

Odds are that it's the same culprit. What are the changes that Mini will cover this out of warranty as an act of good faith since they just replaced the same part less than 10K miles ago? Is there an additional warranty on warrantied parts?

I've read 2 years 20K miles on parts/work fixed by warranty. I sure hope that's the case. Looks like we have the same issues less than 9 months and 9K miles later.

Called the dealer, got the service director since the SA's were out. He said any warranty work done should have 2 years unlimited mileage warranty so if it's the same issues they'll replace them again under warranty. Taking it in later today, fingers crossed.

Hi cosmosmpower,

Is your car back from dealershop? Would you mind to share the part number that they replace from an invoice?

I think I have very similar leak as you have/had.

Thanks,
