Sudden, seemingly unrelated electrical gremlins.

My '07 S (38k miles) has been extremely reliable since new, the only exceptions being the infamous cold start (fixed) and HPFP (fixed).

Last week, suddenly, and at seemingly random intervals, the Hill Start Assist lights illuminate in the dash....and, indeed, Hill Start Assist stops working. If I restart the car, it'll work again for a few minutes....or even a few hours, then the lights illuminate again.

Not such a big deal, except that when the Hill Start Assist lights go on, my turn signals no longer turn off by themselves, and my windscreen wipers will occasionally turn on by themselves when the car starts. I cannot fathom a reason why these would all be connected.

The reason I post here instead of heading directly to my dealer is I don't trust them. I'd like to have at least *some* idea of what they should be looking at, since I had to tell them what to fix for the cold start issue (they claimed it was normal) *and* my high pressure fuel pump. Any ideas?

Experiencing the same issues. I'm pretty sure its the steering angle sensor as i have seen the same symptoms manifest in others with bad SAS

That's bizarre. I wonder how that affects the Hill Start Assist?
