Help me diagnose this noise.....

Ok, so I had a blast at MITM but had to head back to Vegas a day early due to prior commitments. We left early and drove straight thru, just like we had on the way there. No problems on the way to MITM, but on the way back I started to get this buzzing noise from the drivers side engine compartment. I have experienced this noise before MITM, so you can't blame the mods I got done while at MITM. (More on that later)

Anyway, when I heard it last, it was when I had really got on the throttle trying to pass a drunk driver on the highway, so I wanted to get by him asap, so I gunned it. When I got into the higher speeds (high highway speeds) I got the noise. It was a constant sound until I let off the throttle (maybe only a second or so.) I had also experienced it when getting on it while entering the highway. I have only experienced it in those circumstances until today.

Once I started to get into the warmer climate (driving out of Colorado and Eastern Utah, and into the 100 deg desert) is when I noticed it. Didn't have a problem at all while at MITM. I had the A/C on and we were cruising at highway speeds (speed limit 80mph in Utah). After I first noticed it, I tried to see if turning the A/C off would remedy it, but after a few minutes, it came back. It is completely sporadic and even when trying to make it occur by slowing down to 60mph then gunning it up to 80mph, it wouldn't always trigger it.

The video below is me traveling at 85mph using cruise control. No hard acceleration, A/C on. You can hear it kick in once or twice before the longer buzz. Then it goes out and a second or so later another tiny hit. It was like that for the last 2 or so hours of the trip. Mainly on Cruise Control and always around that speed.

Let me know what you think, I want to have this checked out asap.

do you have a 15% pulley vibrating against something? Sounds like a loose pulley or shaft. But I am no mechanic... Take her in and get it diagnosed as soon as possible.

No pulley. I forgot to add, its a R55S 2008.

The sound happens with or without the A/C on.

I thought it might be a bad or struggling HPFP, but I see/feel no lack of power when the noise occurs, then again, I don't try to push it when I hear the sound.

Fan seems fine every other time it is in use, so why only make noise when at high speeds? I don't know.

I have yet to bring it in to service as I have been traveling for work. I am going to try to get it in next week to see if they can find out.
