AC issue due to lowering???
Sorry for resurrecting this thread.
My 2011 R56 is lowered with H&R Streets by 1.5 inches on the front and inspection shows signs of rubbing on the a/c line. It doesn't look bad; the spot just looks polished. I'm guessing the line only makes contact with the axle during suspension compression and hard left turns. I raised the suspension a bit to give it some clearance.
My question is will a layer of aluminum tape provide some protection from wear caused by occasional contact with the axle?

I had a few scratches on my AC, also the plastic clip that held the line, it attaches to the block and it was actuall broken off. So I guess some sort of impact jarred the line enough to break that screw which held it in place.
I tried looking at RealOEM, but the diagrams look the same for both an 07 and a 13.
I ziptied the line out of the way, but then realized that the point at which we are all ziptying from is on the body. I am worried that tying it to the body when the engine rocks will cause some issues.
