Had my MINI towed late yesterday afternoon after it wouldn't start. I had stopped at the dry cleaners and when I got back in I tried to crank it and the speedometer needle rattled a little and that's it. Wouln't turn over or anything. All other systems were working, air, radio lights, windows. I checked the battery and the readings on it said it was charged. As I got out of the car it smelled of burnt electrical. We'll find out today what exactly happened.....

Did It go to back to Ferman MINI?

Reviews on this dealership seem pretty polar mostly 1s or 5s.

Could you update us with how you are treated with the repairs to you MINI.

Good Luck.

Pebble.

Model is a Regular cooper, bought in July. No word today as to the cause, they were able to take a preliminary look, but they were swamped with prior appointments so I will hopefully get word tomorrow.

Ok, so I got my Mini back on Friday. Apparently the problem was the starter. They said it appeared to have gotten hung up and then burned itself out when I tried to crank it. It is all good now though. I think the service department at Palm Harbor mini is great. My service agent was Klaus and he let me know the status everyday, sometimes twice a day. The only reason it took 4 days to fix is because they had to order a new starter.

I've had the same +++experience with Ferman Minis service. Fast appointments is a big plus and I've talked with Jack, the Mini mechanic, and he knows the car. The only other service departments I've dealt with are Keeler in Albany, NY(great) and one in Boston(can't remember the name) which was awful.

I'm on the other side of the country to Herb Chanbers, but I don't think I've seen a positive post about that dealership on this site yet. And there have been a LOT of posts about them.
