Did you get yours yet and did it work??

I bought the same thing, installed in my 2005 Cooper and it did not work. It made the light go off at first, but then it would go on and off while driving with no passenger. Seller has been great and has agreed to ship a new one as soon as I send proof that the original is on the way back. I hope that it is just a bad solder or device and that the new one works. Kind of sucks to have to send it back to Ireland... but if it works, I will be a happy camper.

did not work

I plugged in the emulator from EBAY and it did not work.

I unplugged the mini's battery and replugged in after waiting for 1 minute.

The seller sent the item in an regular envelope without any cushioning. I am going to a Mini/BMW shop this weekend to have them do a hard reset to see if it will work.

I have contacted the seller to let him know it does not work.

I bought the B800 scanner from Amazon, it show that my magnetic sensor on the seat rails is broken. I tried to research it and could not find how to fix it. If the magnetic sensor was not broken the emulator would have worked.

I am currently having the same issue with my 06 MCS where the Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor has triggered the yellow light above and the red airbag light on the dash.. I would love to correct this without having txo purchase a new sensor pad. Anyone local to the Detroit area with the NCS program that can perform the bypass as described by firehawk? I'd be willing to pay for the service. Thanks!

The Sensor light in the passenger seat has been a problem for my 2007 Mini Convertible. I was told $1300.00 to have it fixed in Florida. Would the fix mentioned in this thread work on the 2007?

I got my new seat bottom with new OC3 sensor for $590 from S.Atlanta Mini for my 2005 MCS. But after installing it, my original "71-occupancy sensor fault code" was replaced with a "72 - occupancy + K-Bus fault code". My B800 scan tool wouldn't reset this (BTW, it works great to read the codes & resets other fault codes, and is super cheap on ebay). Some people have said that I'll need to have the dealer reset my SRS module to let it know that the sensor has been replaced. Can anyone else confirm that this is the case? Are there any other scan tools that can do this? Appreciate any input. It sucks to have spent $600 and still have to go to the "stealer"...

Since you bought the seat from them, I would hope that they would be understanding enough to spend 5 min to clear a code for you for something that's relative to the purchase....

I'm in California but purchased the seat bottom from Atlanta, GA, since it was cheaper. My local MINI dealer's prices were higher.

The dealer won't refuse to do it, they'll just charge for it (which in the Bay Area runs nearly $200/hr labor). Many independent shops also have tools to diagnose and reset faults.

Thanks for the input. I'm in the Bay Area, any suggestions which independent shops are reasonably priced? Just curious, what tool is needed to reset the SRS to recognize the new occupancy sensor map (since my B800 tool woundn't do it)?

Has anyone in Florida been able to do this? I would gladly pay for their time, knowledge and of course beer. I've got this silly light on my 06 MCS.

I was emailed from the company about model year of car and then it was shipped. Might not be here until next week.

My passenger airbag light comes on when anything is in the seat but then will eventually go off after several drives in the car (if no one in the passenger seat). Hopefully this works.

Assuming that you already fixed the condition that caused the light to come on. Is there an error code?

I got error code 82.
The mini shop said its a bad sensor at the seat. $900 fix.
Is there anyway to bypass this to shut the annoying light off. I don't really care for that bag to work anyway.

By doing exactly what was discussed in this thread, using NCS Expert programming.
