Have 03 s and have blown 2 heater cores in 2 months, hopefully 2 duds but open to any suggestions and what to look for... Mini dealership replace core and did pressure check, everything is good..
Check to see if low speed fan is working . May be not working putting to much presuer on the system. See nide a fix on fan. May explain why you are having the problem
Have you by any chance added a non-stock radio? I have had that issue before. (not on my Mini) and am still trying to hunt it down. I have gone thru 4 heater cores so far. Not a good situation.
