How to replace radiator hoses?
How to replace radiator hoses?
Hi,
I am in the process of replacing my radiator and radiator fan. I have realized that my upper hose needs to be replaced too and while I am at it i might as well replace the lower one. My question is how? Both hoses trail off under the intercooler and I don't see any easy access. Any Ideas?
Thanks!

If you already have the radiator off, then access to the lower hose is easy as it's attached to the coolant pump on the end of the supercharger. Removing the intercooler is only four bolts to get the cover off and then four bolts to loosen the intercooler boots. The problem with the upper hose is that it's attached to the thermostat housing and is more difficult to get to.... but....since you have the radiator and the intercooler off, I would just pull the throttle housing/lower duct and air box hose off as one unit and then you'll have easy access. This is a good time to clean up the front of the motor and do any other preventive maintenance while you're this far into the job. Took me four hours to remove the whole front module, supercharger, air box, etc and only two hours to put it back together.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Thanks!
I've been meaning to give you a big thanks! I Did all of that and it worked out perfectly. My only problem now is the new fan I put on sounds a little rough like it is out of balance. I am going to try and replace it again this weekend.
