my mini is in the worst situation!
i have a 2003 mini (base) (r50) automatic
the shift lever is stuck in park! wont come out of gear
i dissambled everything trying to figure it out and nothing .
it is parked on a but of a curb front end facing driveway and there is no way to tow . ive tried moving it with jacks and nothing its just in a bad positon any help???? can i move the hydralic cable or something!

If the wheel is turned all the way, I have seen it were the key won't turn, but if the key turns it isn't your parking job.
Usually there is a shift interlock slot where a key goes in to release the brake interlock. *YOu need to have a foot on the brake to get out of park. This is the first thing to check. No idea where it is in a mini but it often looks like a slot for a key.

If memory serves, there is an electromagnetic shift lever lock with a fuse for that system. There is also a cable that runs from the shift mechanism up to the key cylinder. I believe that if it breaks, either the key won't turn, and/or the shift lever won't move.
