Key Fob won't program.

2004 R50 (04/04 build), Just recently the Mini had to go to the shop, my old key went "bad" and the place i took it to had to get me a new key and realign it with the EWS. I had them order 2 keys. 1 valet and 1 master (I only had one key to start with). Both keys start the car, and turn the cylinder for the door locks, but I can't get the master key fob to program. I have followed the instructions to a T, and still can't get it. I've been at it a dozen times today. I've scoured the forums and found the same instructions but even those don't work. Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me after the car at sat for a while with a low battery. I ended up having to take the keys to have them programed at the dealer and they needed a specific code that comes with the new keys to assig it to the car. I didn't have it since I had bought the car used so I ordered a second key which got programed and use the old one as a spare.

Your best bet would be to find someone with the GT1 program, who can reprogram the keys. Most likely your dealer will be the best.
