Strange Electrical \ Computer Issue

I have been having some intermittent electrical issues lately. I first noticed a problem when i was sitting in the car waiting for my wife to come out of the store, the car just shut off, like I turned the key off. It started back up with no issue, but everything was reset. The trip computer was at 0 miles, the MPG's on the NAV screen were at 0 ect. Since then I have noticed 2 or 3 more times that when I start the car everything is reset again.

The battery is pretty new, about 1 year old, and I am seeing 14v when the car is started so I’m assuming the alternator is ok. I have also made sure all the connections to the computer are tight under the hood. Anyone ever seen this issue before, or know what may be going on?

Just an update on this issue:

Today the car stuttered while I was parking, at the same time the power steering stopped working. I turned off the car for about 2 hours, came back tried to start it, something clicked and the whole thing went dark. No lights, nothing on the dash, it was like I disconnected the battery. I took the key out, tried to open the back hatch to check the battery and of course that wouldn't open either since there was no power. I finally got to it from the inside, checked the terminals, everything good there, when back to try and start it and this time everything came back on, car started and I drive home.

Everything was reset after the car started, dash lights on max, trip computer at 0 ect...

Plot Thickens:

I recently noticed water on the drivers side carpet and after thinking about it I can remember this past winter having ice on the drivers side floor mat every time I drove it this winter (only drive 1-2 times in the winter). I had assumed it was from snow on my shoes but it turned out to be the moon roof drain hose\pipe being disconnected. I fixed it, and there are no more leaks, but I can only image what got wet with all the water down there.

Anyone know whats under the carpet? Should I pull all of that out and the plastics where the fuse box is at and check all the connections for corrosion?
