Our '08 MCS driver-side seatbelt will not retract. It's been an issue since the car was about 6 months old. Every time we take it to the dealer for service they write it up but upon delivery they've written it up "ops normal". Very frustrating. Is there anything we can do other than take it to a different/out of town dealer? Any information/assistance appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Go back and have the service tech demonstrate that there is no problem and insist he/she show you as such while your standing there.Make sure you get the techs name (the one thats on your repair ticket)and noone else.

 

Thanks for the input. We've got a great MA but our service experiences have been dreadful. This problem has been "run up the service ladder" but with no results. It would be a pain but not worth worrying about except our yellow lab got his leg caught up in it leaving the park yesterday. Mess with me, mess with my car, but messing with my dog...BIG no no. If no one here has a do-it-yourself solution I guess it means a trip to MINI in Knoxville or Memphis is in our future.
