Sunroof wind noise. Any actual fix?

I brought my MCS into service last week for the timing chain and told them my sunroof has a loud wind noise coming from the front. They asked if it was while closed. I said yes. Anyway they said they replaced the seal around the entire sunroof and it should be fine now.

As soon as I got on the parkway it was there but probably 30% as loud as when I dropped it off. Now it's already back to full volume. Now I'm not very **** about things like this but it's loud enough that people complain when I use my bluetooth....whereas in the past they didn't even know I wasn't on a LAN line.

Does the dealership have an actual fix for this or do they just wing it? Should I bring it back again or am I just wasting my time? I understand the whole it's a huge piece of glass on a rigid car driving on NY roads. But still if they sold it they should have engineered it to not get screwed up.

Anyone figure out a homemade way to fix the problem? I don't want to tape it up because I use the damn heavy loud thing.

Thanks!

INSIST that they replace the sunroof if they can't adjust it. There should be minimal, if any, wind noise (I don't have any wind noise on mine for the most part, just occasionally at high speeds and it's not loud at all) The sunroof has been a big problem for so many MINI owners over the years. Unfortunately they haven't changed the design to remedy the situation, which doesn't make any sense to me.

The shop manager at the dealership I go to said that they simply have to adjust it until it works, or replace it, and that there's no foolproof method for adjustment. He acknowledged that the sunroof design is a major design flaw. Hey, at least he's honest!

I would have to agree. In my numerous adjustments, the sound level has changed. But it should be all-but-silent under normal driving conditions. But things like a windy day and being in the wake of a semi for example could give you some wind noise.

I have the same issue

The wind noise is terrible loud even at 45mph. (sunroof closed)
Mini adjusted it last week and the journey home it was significantly quieter.
About two days later it was back to loud again.

After reading through some of these threads, there seams to be little that can cure this.

I was thinking that a weathertech deflector would keep the noise out while closed, my fear is dropping $75 on a deflector and it doesn't work.

Any thoughts on that.?
