Re-greasing the shifter/box

So, I'm going to peruse my Bentley before doing this, but thought I'd pick the brains of all the folks who've owned their MC's longer than I have.

My shifter is a little "dry" and I'm starting to feel it in the shift lever action.

Is it best to follow the manual for servicing this, or is there by chance an easier or more detailed write up on servicing this? I did some searching today but didn't find much in regards to re-lubricating the mechanism.

Thanks all.

Could just be cold. Mine's definitely a little harder to shift now that it's freezing out.

Seattle's not that bad right now, and it's about the same as when I bought the car, I can just feel the plastics rubbing together. It "looks" fairly simple....but...we know how that goes =)
