I have a 2010 Clubman S and the HK radio started switching from Ipod to FM or Sirius to FM and every time the display says "Alarm" it takes about 1 minute of driving for this to happen and if I switch it back to either Ipod of Sat it does the same thing..

Any Ideas?? I tried to search it but I didn't come up with anything I also put this in audio/nav section

Here is my reply to your first post

Quote: Me Too. I am in Tucson and it happened all day yesterday Wed Nov 9, 2010?? Kept switching to FM from CD, USB etc and it said ALARM on the display. Is this a FCC issue? 91.3 KXCI was spotty too. They were getting stepped on or going off the air. Coincidental maybe.
Where are you?
Whackey

Same problem
Had my phone plugged into the Aux port playing Pandora, and it would swap over to FM and display "ALARM" every one to two minutes. Quite annoying, i might add.

Not to be all "ditto" but, um, ditto! Today was the first time it happened (2007 Cooper S Coupe) to me as well.

me too...
Add me to the list of having this 'feature'...

2008 Clubman w/ ~30K miles
Ipod Touch & Ipod nano via Aux switching to radio randomly w/ 'ALARM' displayed.

Gonna call dealer tomorrow and see what's up...

Anyone have diagnostics performed on this yet?

Thanks,
Paul

Sadly, this just happened to me, also. I'm scheduling an appointment along with my scheduled service. We'll see what the resolution is. Anyone have it resolved, yet?

2009 MCS w/ ~26k. Does it when I'm on Sat. Haven't tried it yet on iPod/Aux yet.

We've had several complaints on this issue in the Dallas area. We're currently investigating.
What station does it switch to?
Any weather bulletin heard or just music?

Any info can help

Thanks.

Also in the Dallas area. I've been experiencing the same problem, beginning about two days ago. Always switches over from Aux to the radio, 89.3 (I think), after which I switch back to Aux. Then it happens again, sometimes after only 1 or 2 minutes, sometimes as long as 10 minutes. Always goes back to 89.3, even if I had changed to another radio station.

Hope this helps!

Also in Dallas... I cannot say for certain but 89.3 seems about right and it is not a station that I have programmed in my presets or anything...

I left a message with Marc @ MoD but haven't heard back from him.

Thanks for the info!
89.3 is the default station for the radio, so that seems about right. Keep it updated if yall can and I will do the same!

Don't our radios have emergency broadcast switch over?

Add our '08 to the list here in DFW, I think someone at the radio station is pressing buttons they shouldn't be pressing.

If any one is willing to try, please turn off "RDS" and "PTY" on the radio. Thid can be done by selecting "SET" on the radio, then deselecting "RDS" and "PTY". Or refer to your owners manual for more information. Keep it updated!

We have not had any complaints today, seems to be most likely a "semi" weather bulletin lol.
If it happens again try the above procedure or wait until somebody stops hitting buttons

I had the same issue and I disconnected the negative battery cable for a minute and after I hooked out back up the problem went away
