Radio won't turn on for 30 minutes

So my Mini just rolled over 50k this morning - and as such, my radio did not turn on (the display was completely blank, not even the clock appeared). I thought that a fuse was blown and would check when I got to work - but then about 30 minutes into my drive it powered on. Same thing happened on the way home, but only took 20 minutes to "warm up". I can't for the life of me figure out what would cause this - help!

The radio head unit has probably failed or the connector on the back has come disconnected. There are used ones available for the $100 range, but you will need to get it programmed at the dealer (or yourself if you have the proper equipment and knowledge) after you get it installed.

Check the voltage. Could be low voltage caused by a bad cable/connection somewhere or alternator.
