2007 MINI S Convertible with 38k. A couple of times a week as the car shifts at 30-33 mph the transmissions slips as though total out of a gear, I can rev up to 5k plus the let off and it goes back into gear. Still under warranty but has not been witnessed by tech. Dealer say nada

 

I see this occasionally with my '05 as well. It will slip, rev high, then engage. No pattern with the problem and I cannot replicate it, it just happens occasionally, more often when the vehicle is nice and warm.

I plan to inspect and possibly replace the so-called lifetime lubricant, I'll report back with my findings.
