Now that the Feds are looking into the fail rate of power steering. this could become and official recall. If you or anyone you know have had power steering failure, please go to this link and fill out a complaint. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/c...TOKEN=73106179

If every power steering failure was reported they will make it a recall. This mostly effects 04-05's

Please forward this and post it to as many places as possible.

electromagnetic steering is't unique to only first generation minis, so sorry for the original posting location, but some need to see the big picture and not make things into a point of contention.

 

I had to replace my PS on my 04 Cooper and wondered if there was more info on this forum concerning this issue. I thought I saw a thread that had more info?
