Hi all!

For the DIYers out there,

I was able to revive my door lock actuator on the Driver side....


I disassembled the actuator body and found out that one of the motors inside was not turning when 12v is applied to it.

You need to take out the oneway washer lock, and 4 torx screws to open up the actuator body.


So, I opened up the motor using my dremel, (I don't have the patience of screwing around with the lock.


I found a short circuit on the commutator of the motor. I scratched it out using my tweezers and re - assembled the body then tested it again... VOILA!!!

got it working again!!!! now I need to re-assemble the whole actuator.... I think I forgot on how everything goes back together.

Can you post pictures of your fully assembled actuators please... I'll post some of mine too later today or tommorow.
