Whats the last 7 digit of your Vin again, then you can go to realoem.com , copy / paste , then go to the gearshift section > gearshift manual transmission > select the diagram that shows condition A and condition B shift lug.
Then look at the picture of Condition "A" , look below at the parts #6 is the driver side, look for condition A , if no condition for that year/ model , then the part description does not say anything.

Whats the last 7 digits of your VIN, i can help you.

Yep that driver side ( left ) is the 708 version. Which is on BO

The 707 version you have is for the passenger side ( right ).

They fit tight just make sure the 25117531708 part goes on the Left side ( driver ) and 25117531707 goes on that right side ( passenger ) . They snap on when new pretty tight. They have a little grease pre greased in the socket on the new ones.

It looks like the pass/driver shifter are designed to be unique so to ensure proper installation. The driver side ball was probably designed larger for that purpose.

if that's the case then are the cups on the 707/708 different sizes to reflect that?

That looks right , one side is bigger then the other and the cables sets correspond to that, so you dont mix the cables up, did mine of on the 05 MCC and it was the same way. they fit tight and snap on pretty hard/.

Ouch, sorry you had that happen. Try tapping it on, on the top, and press stright down. Its snaps on tight. When i did mine it was very tight so it will not pop off.

I took mine out. But with some contorting of your hands you might be able to reach down and push it on. But at the risk of beating up your hand , weary tight fitting work gloves if you do.

Just use a prybar to pop it on, pry against the fiberglass/plastic tray and the cable should pop on.

yeah I tried that... won't pop on. I still don't think this is the right cable honestly. Doesn't even slide down on the plastic piece that holds it level. Pretty frustrated at this point, might just get it towed to my local shop to take care of it

Without looking at it personally, it may be the wrong cable. They shouldn't require the power of Thor to install, just a bit of pressure and they should pop on.
