Bavarian Technic vs. AutoEnginuity Scan Tool

I'm playing with a Bavarian Technic enthusiast cable now, but I'm wondering if the grass is any greener on the other (more expensive) side of the fence…

Anyone have any thoughts on which is best for use with the MINI?

What do you want it to do for you that it isn't doing now?

I don't want to make the thread about this, but I've been having some issues with the BT software monitoring real-time data reliably (stops updating after a few seconds) and I'd like to get more information on when certain faults occurred and how many times they occurred (information I know exists, but they don't seem to provide). BT has a new software update (1.7.8.1) that was just released, so maybe that will take care of the first one, but the second one would be nice to have as well.

In general, though, I want to get the opinions/experiences of others on each one of these options... not just a discussion on the specific issues I've been having with one of them.

I just want to know if it will turn off my seat belt dinger after the cage and 5 points goes in, and the stock crap comes out. Not even BT will give me a straight answer on that one.

You can tell I'm a facebook addict (and former VW owner) because I immediately looked for the "like" button on this one.
