I've looked around quite a bit online and came to two contradicting conclusions on the location of the TMAP and the MAP sensors. Can anyone that is completely sure of their location please respond with the answer? To my understanding the TMAP is located on the intake manifold (directly under the hood at the front of the car) and the MAP sensor is located on a bracket near the thermostat (also near the oil cap). ???

Sorry to revive an old thread, but after doing a bit of searching on realoem and other sites I am still a bit confused.

Can someone confirm if the TMAP and MAP sensors are the same sensor just in two different locations? or are they two DIFFERENT sensors? I can only seem to find a part number on just a MAP sensor

the map and the tmap are totally different sensors. i happened to inquire about these the other day with the local parts dealer.

 

Can you buy two of the same sensors to replace the MAP and TMAP or is each sensor different and needs to be bought individually? I have replaced the MAP sensor (one near the thermostat) but I still have a CEL code for this. I replaced it before I realized my wiring harness had been attacked by a wee lil’ field mouse. Uploading pics so the numbers can be verified. I have not replaced the TMAP yet.
