My wife's passenger airbag sensor is faulty and is displaying the airbag warning light. Its either an $800+ fix at the dealer or trick to the sensor. I've seen some map emulators online that are said to work. I've also seen some BMWs use a diode as a jumper. Does anyone have any experience with either? I tried to locate the plug that the emulator plugs into to confirm the wires are the same but having a hard time locating it with the lack of room and my big head. Sent from my iPad using NAMotoring

Can you provide a reference? It must be only for older cars (pre-2005). The passenger sensor mat in MINI has an embedded microcontroller that communicates digitally with the airbag module and can't be bypassed with a diode.
